Scottish based Cultural Connections, which promotes Scottish history with actors and traditional musicians, is performing their latest play at the Ayrshire Food Hub near Kilmarnock on Saturday 23 September. It is part of a small tour.
Our light hearted play is about Connie, a ‘gallus’ Glasgow woman trying to understand Robert Burns and his works. There is much humour as she asks some forthright questions!
We are very pleased to have experienced Scottish actor Lesley Robertson playing Connie. The rest of the cast comprises narrator/interviewer Dave Dewar, with well known folk musicians Wendy Weatherby on cello and voice and Sandy Brechin on accordion, keyboards and voice. They are joined by Andy Morton, former President of Dundonald Burns Club (Ayrshire) on voice. Well known Burns’ songs and poems will be featured in the show.
Sat. 23 Sept 7.15pm – Ayrshire Food Hub, Crossroads, by Kilmarnock – £16.22 inc. booking fee (inc. teas / coffees and tray bake)
