European Folk Day – September the 23rd
On the 23rd September, the premiere performance of the Urban Wanderers dance concert will take place, and this will be the first time that the public will be able to see the performance.
The best pub in the village, a bar filled with the smoke of cigarettes, a restaurant, or a gorgeous concert hall, these are some of the defining venues of gypsy music culture where the diverse musical world developed and from which the performance was strongly built from. Our excellent musicians guide the audience through the stages of folk music, traditional urban Gypsy music, Hungarian Nota and Csárdás, jazz and ethnic Gypsy world music with a chirpy playfulness. The imaginary journey is completed with dynamic dance scenes, creating a kind of fusion between the musician and his audience.
