The Latin American Duo Riosentí presents their own songs with vocals and traditional instruments: feelings and experiences of love, forays in different territories, arriving at home and living in the diaspora.
Duo Riosentí is a music project in the great tradition of Latin American singer-songwriters: the two musical nomads Josué Avalos from Mexico and Aline Novaro from Argentina create their own compositions – gentle, poetic songs sung with two voices to rhythmic-energetic Mexican “sones”, which are inspired by the music of southeastern Mexico. They accompany their singing on the guitar and other traditional instruments such as the Mexican “requinto jarocho”, the “jarana” or the Venezuelan “cuatro”. They lead the audience from the south of the Latin American continent to the deserts of northern Mexico.
Riosentí’s music grows from life experience of their travels between the continents of Latin America and Europe – enriched with sounding anecdotes. The music and the lyrics are authentic and up-to-date, not only because of the themes such as origin, travelling, love and diaspora, which are dealt in the songs. The musicians have also committed themselves to an aesthetic in which the transparency of the sound is of great importance. They style and their strong stage presence has catapulted them into concert halls and festivals in over ten countries in past two years. Each concert is an experimental fusion of tradition, adventure for the ears and express the respect for the power of nature.
