DESCRIPTION:The Dragon Folk Club offers a weekly sing-around style session. Our sessions on 18th and 25th September will both be within a week of the 4th European Folk Day. \nEveryone is welcome whether they perform or not. Performance can be of any type as long as it’s acoustic: sing\, play\, dance\, tell a story or joke\, recite a poem or monologue. We have our foundation in all types of “folk performance”\, but nothing is excluded. If you don’t perform then that’s fine: be our audience\, join in the banter\, and maybe sing along to a chorus or several. \nYou will find us almost every Friday from 8:15pm in the barn (just past the toilets) at The Bridge Inn\, Shortwood\, Bristol\, UK\, BS16 9NG. \nWe look forward to meeting you.

DESCRIPTION:Pennine Folk Club is delighted to be taking part in European Folk Day 2026 with our regular monthly acoustic folk session in the heart of the Pennines in Yorkshire\, England. \nOur friendly\, informal sessions welcome singers\, musicians and listeners alike\, from experienced performers to complete beginners. There is no obligation to perform – everyone is welcome simply to come along\, listen and enjoy the music and good company. \nOur September meeting will feature a special guest spot from Hilary Spencer\, alongside songs and tunes from our regular performers and visitors. \nJoin us at Stocksmoor Village Hall on Sunday 20 September from 1.30pm to 4.30pm as our little corner of Yorkshire joins folk communities across Europe in celebrating the music and traditions that bring people together.

Through song and storytelling\, SiberWytch reawakens the world of the völva\, the forest spirits\, the draugr\, the huldra\, the norns\, the trolls\, the dead\, the dreamers and the gods who still whisper through mountains\, rivers and winter woods. \nRather than recreating folk music as museum material\, SiberWytch approaches tradition as something living\, breathing and enchanted. Her music is rooted in folklore\, myth and memory\, but shaped through a contemporary\, personal and poetic voice. These are not simply songs about the past — they are songs about the invisible threads between landscape\, ancestry\, grief\, magic and survival. \nPerformed live with minimal instrumentation\, the concert creates an intimate ritual-like atmosphere: the ancient sound of strings\, the human voice\, and stories carried across time.
