DESCRIPTION:Culture Vannin has joined forces with similar organisations from Wales (TRAC Cymru) and Cornwall (Lowender) to present a folk music exchange called Môr / Mooir / Mor created especially for European Folk Day! \n\nA common theme found in both the landscape and cultural heritage of all three nations is the ‘sea’\, and interestingly\, the Celtic cousins share a very similar sounding name for the sea in each language: Môr in Welsh\, Mooir in Manx and Mor in Cornish!\n\nCulture Vannin’s Manx youth music group ‘Bree’ will take on the Môr / Mooir / Mor challenge on Saturday 7th October\, with the aim of learning Welsh and Cornish tunes at the workshop\, and sharing their performance on Monday the 23rd of September.\n\nMore info: Manx\, Welsh and Cornish musical collaboration! | Manx Music | Isle of Man\n\n.\n#europeanfolkday   #europeanfolkday2024
