Her repertoire moves between original work and traditional influences from Ireland and the United Kingdom. \nRíoghnach Connolly grew up in a musical family in Northern Ireland and has since built an impressive international career. She has toured with The Breath\, Honeyfeet and Afro Celt Sound System\, among others\, and has been named Folk Singer of the Year by both RTÉ and BBC Radio 2. Her voice has been praised as timeless and intense\, a rare combination of finesse and raw expression. \nFor this performance\, Ríoghnach is joined by British keyboard player John Ellis. Ellis grew up in Manchester and has been active as a musician\, producer and composer since the 1980s.
