DESCRIPTION:Torkjell Haugerud Memorial Concert and Traditional Competition \n\nThis year marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of the renowned fiddler Torkjell Haugerud. To celebrate the occasion\, Seljord Folkemusikklag is hosting a major commemorative concert on Friday\, 18 September at 19:30 at Granvin Kulturhus. \nA large number of outstanding performers will gather in Seljord for this special evening\, promising a memorable concert and a fitting tribute to one of Norway’s great folk musicians. \nOn Saturday\, 19 September\, the programme continues with a traditional kappleik (folk music competition) featuring contests in all classes. \nThere will also be dance parties in the old hall on both Friday and Saturday evening\, providing plenty of opportunities for music\, dancing\, and socializing throughout the weekend. \nProgramme Highlights \n\nFriday\, 18 September\, 19:30: Torkjell Haugerud 150th Anniversary Concert\, Granvin Kulturhus\nPerformances by numerous distinguished folk musicians\nSaturday\, 19 September: Traditional kappleik competitions in all classes\nDance gatherings in the old hall on both Friday and Saturday\n\nA warm welcome to everyone!
