This year\, her second solo album\, “Ademhalen\,” was released\, which also featured singer/songwriter and guitarist Bruno Denerckere and pedal steel guitarist Bart Vervaeck. The trio impresses with honest songwriting\, clear voices\, and a band sound that is both down-to-earth and melodic. Live\, the trio plays with great intensity\, combining authentic country and Americana sounds with Flemish culture.

DESCRIPTION:Tom Mank (guitar\, vocal) and Sera Smolen (cello) with Kimberly Claeys (vocal) and Rich DePaolo (guitar\, vocal). \nTom Mank and Sera Smolen have been performing and writing music together since 1994. Mank\, a self-taught singer-songwriter\, and Smolen\, a conservatory trained cellist\, blend their musical languages into an eclectic style. Guitar\, voice\, and cello have many ways of blending\, with the cello as bass\, and doubling with guitar or soloing. Mank’s eloquent writing of instrumentals is contrasted well with his poetic lyrics. In 2021\, they finished a new album of original music – called “Like a Raindrop on a Feather” – recorded in Ithaca\, NY.
