SUMMARY:Parking lot concert in Bad Kreuznach to celebrate 3rd European Folk Day
DESCRIPTION:To mark the occasion of the third European Folk Day (September 23\, 2025)\, a parking lot concert will be held in Bad Kreuznach for the third time on Saturday\, September 20\, 2025—once again in cooperation with neighbourhood initiative schildHood and Dirk Bleisinger’s Tonkaffee. Following the success of the last two years\, the Tonkaffee will once again set up shop that day in the parking lot of the Baptist church on Carmerstraße from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. – so anyone who enjoys handmade folk music and crossover is cordially invited! \nPerformers include local heroes Lost & Found (Indie\, Folk\, Americana) and singer-songwriter Alex Schmeißer\, Bingen-based solo artist Marina del Hey (folk cover and own material) as well as Celtic folk rockers Why didn’t they ask Evans? from the Hunsrück region. As last year\, admission is free (a hat will be passed around to cover the costs for the musicians and the Tonkaffee). \nMusicians from the region who are interested in playing themselves are welcome to register in advance via schildHood.kreuznach@posteo.de or simply drop by on the day and see if there is still a slot available. The performance time per act is approx. 20-30 minutes\, depending on the number of participants. \nPeople are welcome to bring their own (cold) drinks and snacks (Tonkaffee will offer a selection of coffees) and\, if they don’t want to be standing all the time\, your own seating. \nschildHood Bad Kreuznach and Tonkaffee are looking forward to a wonderful evening together celebrating international folk music!
