Dance Concert: Buss for tog + Festival Jam!
As tradition dictates, we round off the festival Saturday with a concert, dancing, and a jam session that will carry on into the late hours of the night at Dokkhuset.
To get the party started, we are delighted to welcome Buss for Tog, the house band from Riksscenen. The trio consists of Andreas Ljones, Asgaut Bakken, and Inge Gjevre, three stalwarts of the Norwegian folk music scene.
Inge Gjevre is known from bands such as Jutullaget and Avbrekk, as well as collaborations with Stein Villa, Vegar Vårdal, and Mads Erik Odde. He has also achieved numerous top placements in national competitions, both as a solo performer, in duos, and in larger ensembles.
Andreas Ljones is a fiddler and composer who has received the Spellemann Award and earned several top rankings in national fiddle competitions, including the prestigious A-class at Landskappleiken. He is known from groups such as Frikar, Camilla Granlien Band, and Majorstuen.
Asgaut Bakken is widely recognized as a guitarist with an impressive stylistic range, from his collaboration with Odd Nordstoga in Blåmann, Blåmann to bands such as White Trash Blues Band. He is also the creator of concepts such as Tuvas Blodklubb at Riksscenen in Oslo.
As Buss for Tog, they put on their conductor’s caps and, in the finest SJ Nord style, steer the festivities onto the old-time dance track, free from signal failures, derailments, or delays.
