Signe Førre Quartet is an exciting ensemble bringing together musicians from diverse musical backgrounds to perform a captivating blend of jazz and folk music traditions from across Europe and beyond.
Signe Førre is a highly accomplished composer, double bassist, and vocalist whose music draws on and embraces a wide range of musical traditions and languages. Her concerts take audiences on a musical journey from Norway through Serbia, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Turkey.
Førre is currently forging a highly promising international career, with performances at festivals across Asia, Europe, and Norway. Along the way, she has assembled an outstanding group of sought-after musicians whose collective experience includes collaborations with artists and bands such as Vamp, Ole Paus, Anne Grete Preus, Real Ones, Bjørn Eidsvåg, Tindra, Tore Brunborg, Sigrid Moldestad, Karl Seglem, and Nils Økland, to name just a few.
The music featured in this concert is drawn from FAGERT, the critically acclaimed debut album released on Ta:lik Records.
