Oriel Traditional Orchestra celebrate the music of the Irish Borderlands

The Oriel Traditional Orchestra is a cross-border multi-generational musical grouping of about 60 members, based along the eastern part of the Border in Ireland. We are passionate about the traditional music of this area, formerly known as the Kingdom of Oriel (or Airghialla in Irish), comprising the counties of Louth, Armagh, Monaghan, and parts of Meath and Down. Our innovative arrangements breathe new life into this ancient music. Our repertoire also includes pieces composed by orchestra members.

This event will be a combination of a no-holds-barred session with some of our arranged repertoire, located on the North End Bar, a bar that is at the heart of traditional music in Dundalk, Co. Louth.
