Gunni Torp Trio for the European Folk Day Celebration

“In celebration of European Folk Day, you can experience the Gunni Torp Trio at Gjethuset.

Gunni Torp writes modern, raw ballads that humorously tell stories about life in the countryside, nightlife, women’s lives, everyday experiences, and the twists and turns of dreams.

She has a unique way with her accordion, a distinctive storytelling ability, and a live show filled with reflections, humor, and anecdotes that weave the songs together. A swaying accordion groove, shakers, dusty drums, and unpolished vocals. She takes us on a journey when she performs her soul-stirring Danish songs.

The music draws from hip hop, spoken word, Balkan, and bluegrass, blending into contemporary folk music. The concert at Gjethuset is performed as a trio.
