European Folk Day – September the 23rd

The Living Heritage concerts feature three masters of contemporary Serbian traditional music: Boško Vujačić (gusle), Svetlana Spajić (traditional singing), and Miloš Nikolić (traditional wind instruments). Their performance takes the audience on a musical journey through Serbian regions and eras, combining historical memory and artistry. Through music and words, they showcase various forms of Serbian tradition – from epic singing with gusle, to folk songs (ojkača and bass chants), to melodies of traditional dances from eastern and southern Serbia played on the bagpipe and kaval. This very concert by the Trio is held in celebration of the European Folk Day, as part of the welcoming ceremony for the delegates at the IAMIC 2025 gathering in Belgrade, on September 23, at Ložionica.
