Stones

Kuldiga (Goldingen) has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Historical bildings, parks and the Venta River waterfall create a special atmosfere for hearing  legends, songs and traditions from ancient Curonian tribe. Today we will be gathered by stories about stones. In oral culture stone has various meanings, including unchanging. We want oral tradictions to continue, so today we invite the people of Kuldiga to celebrate the autumn holiday -Jumis, wich, following the tradictions , we will ritually lay under a stone.
