European Folk Day – September the 23rd
A Belgian musical collective that brings together artists with different backgrounds and has oriented its research towards medieval Flemish song, comparing it with 14th century early music, polyphony and Sephardic music, and letting itself be influenced by eastern modal music (Greece, Turkey, Afghanistan). Unusual singing styles and virtuoso performances on early music instruments from both East and West shed new light on musical traditions revealing poetic and musical secrets.
