European Folk Day – September the 23rd

After 13 years of silence, Troissoeur is back—and stronger than ever! The idiosyncratic electro-acoustic band, featuring the Vanvinckenroye brothers (Rein, Edwin, Joris) and Pieter Thys, is coming to Belsele with their new program Vinistan.
From the late 1990s to the early 2000s, Troissoeur became a true live sensation. They played at the biggest international festivals, signed with EMI, and inspired an entire generation of musicians. After a long hiatus, they now return with renewed energy and creativity, staying true to their expressive, anarchic, and theatrical style.
Vinistan tells the story of an unknown country and its inhabitants. The lyrics, sung in AOV (Algemeen Onbeschaafd Vinees / General Uncouth Vinese), depict daily life, history, and the love between Heitir and Steindei—two Vinistanese characters the band personally got to know.
